Questions about billing
What counts as a passport?
Every new passport you seal in the running month. Updating a passport later — a new lifecycle version, a correction, an access grant — is free and unlimited. Withdrawn passports do not count against your quota.
What happens if I need more than my plan allows?
You can buy extra passports at the price of your plan (EUR 0.40, 0.30 or 0.20 each), or upgrade. Extras stay available while your subscription runs; on an upgrade the unused days of your current period are credited.
Is the quota per month on a yearly plan too?
Yes. A yearly plan is the same monthly quota at a lower price — it does not hand you the whole year up front, and unused quota does not roll over to the next month.
What happens to my passports if I stop?
Your account becomes a read-only archive. Every passport sealed in a paid period stays online and verifiable for 15 years at no cost, so the QR codes on products already sold keep working. You can also take a signed export and host it yourself.
Are there setup fees or per-seat costs?
No. No setup fees, no onboarding fees, and users are included in the plan. You pay for the new passports you create.
Is my own domain really in every plan?
Yes. Passports run on dpp.yourcompany.com with your logo and colours from the Starter plan onwards, including certificates. That matters because the URL printed on a product has to keep working for fifteen years.
How do I pay, and is VAT included?
Prices are excluding VAT. You pay by iDEAL, card or bank transfer, and every invoice is in your console. VAT is charged according to your country and VAT number.
Can I try it first?
