Every electric vehicle battery placed on the EU market from 18 February 2027 needs its own passport. Answer seven questions and see exactly which data points you still have to gather.

Do I need an account for this check?
No. The check runs on the page and shows your result immediately. An e-mail address is only needed if you want the report sent to you, and that record can be erased with one click from the e-mail itself.
Where do these requirements come from?
From Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 (the Battery Regulation) and the BatteryPass-Ready v2.0.1 data model, which is the reference implementation of the battery passport data content. The same list is what our register checks a real passport against.
Is a high score the same as being compliant?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. This check looks at whether you hold the data. Compliance also depends on the accuracy of that data, on the data carrier on the product, and on giving repairers, recyclers and authorities the access the regulation grants them. Compliance rests with the economic operator placing the product on the market — never with a platform.
What usually takes the longest?
Supplier data. Carbon footprint, recycled content and substance declarations have to come from people outside your company, and the first round of asking is rarely the one that works. That is why the practical questions in this check count towards the score.
