Where do these requirements come from?
From the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (EU) 2024/1781 and the product data model we implement for this category. The delegated act for the product group sets the exact date and can still add data points.
Is a high score the same as being compliant?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. This check looks at whether you hold the data. Compliance also depends on the accuracy of that data, on the data carrier on the product, and on giving repairers, recyclers and authorities the access the regulation grants them. Compliance rests with the economic operator placing the product on the market — never with a platform.
What usually takes the longest?
Supplier data. Carbon footprint, recycled content and substance declarations have to come from people outside your company, and the first round of asking is rarely the one that works. That is why the practical questions in this check count towards the score.
